This comic represents another fun comic coming from other than DC or Marvel. More and more the independents are releasing good material, while everyone is talking about the next "event" books. Hero By Night now fills the void left by the cancellation of Kyle Baker's brilliant Plastic Man. The art is nice and simplistic and extremely fitting for the story. The writing is quite clever and is reminiscent of the "cliffhanger" style of storytelling. There is a story within a story effect involving Jack (the main character) as he discovers the tales of the Hero. The hardcover edition of the mini-series makes a beautiful introduction to this truly unique cast of characters. It is so amazing how this book is flying under the radar. Get a look at this series and give us your opinion because, Platinum Studios has the placed the mini-series (Issues 1-4) online for free. Also, check out the online Hero by Night game.
